DC Motor Identification and Controls

In this project, Several control scheemes are developed and tested. The following project are accomplished:
1) Performed system identification of a linear DC motor and designed a PI controller for position control.
2) Developed a full order and reduced order observers to estimate the coulomb friction for a linear DC motor.
3) Utilized dSPACE hardware in the loop to validate the controller and the observers.
4) Developed a speed PID controller for a DC motor and implemented it on a PIC microcontroller.
